Check your state’s current law
State and local firearm laws change often, so rather than keep our own copy of every state’s rules (which could go out of date), we point you to organizations whose job is tracking this:
These cover modern firearms, antique/pre-1899 exemptions, and — depending on your state — edged weapons and knives. Confirm both the receiving state’s law and any city/county ordinances that may be stricter.
Items we don’t ship to certain states
Beyond general firearm law, a small number of items in our shop have shipping restrictions we apply ourselves. This list is short and specific — check back if you don’t see your state or item mentioned, but the absence of a note here doesn’t override your own state’s law.

Antiques & pre-1899 firearms
Most states follow the federal antique-firearm exemption (manufactured in or before 1898), but a handful of states regulate antiques more strictly than federal law. See our Antique Firearm Policy for the federal definition, and check your state’s law above before assuming the federal exemption applies where you live.
Modern firearms
All modern firearms ship FFL-to-FFL only — see our How to Purchase and Shipping & FFL Transfers pages. Your receiving dealer’s own local knowledge is also a good check, since they deal with your state’s requirements daily.
