This policy explains what information Deason’s Antique Weapons & Collectibles collects when you visit or buy from this site, how we use it, and who we share it with. We built this store to run a small, honest business, not to collect or trade in your personal data.
Information we collect
We only collect what’s needed to run the shop and talk to you:
- Order information: name, billing and shipping address, email, and phone number, entered at checkout.
- Payment information: handled directly by our payment processor at checkout. We do not receive or store your full card number on our own servers.
- FFL transfer details: for modern firearms, the name and license information of the FFL dealer you designate to receive the transfer.
- Contact form submissions: whatever name, email, and message you choose to send us through the Contact page.
- Basic site cookies: WooCommerce sets small cookies to keep track of your cart and session while you shop. We don’t use these to track you across other websites.
How we use it
- To process, ship, and (for modern firearms) coordinate the FFL transfer of your order.
- To respond to questions, repair requests, or items you’re offering to sell or trade.
- To meet our own recordkeeping and legal obligations as a dealer in antiques and firearms-related items.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to marketing lists.
Who we share it with
Your payment processor (to charge your card), the shipping carrier (to deliver your package), and — for modern firearms only — the FFL dealer you designate to receive the transfer. Each of these only receives the information they need to do their part.
We don’t share your information with anyone else, and we don’t sell it.
How long we keep it
We keep order records as long as reasonably needed for customer service, warranty/return questions, and our own legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations as a dealer. If you’d like us to delete personal information we hold about you that we’re not otherwise required to keep, contact us and we’ll take care of it.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we have on file for you, correct it, or delete it (subject to what we’re required to retain for legal or recordkeeping reasons). Just reach out through the Contact page or call us directly.
Security
Checkout runs over a secure (SSL-encrypted) connection, and your payment details are handled directly by our payment processor rather than stored on our own servers.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children, and firearms and related items are not sold to minors. Visitors confirm they meet the applicable legal age before browsing weapon listings.
Changes to this policy
