Shipping & FFL Transfers

Every listing on this site is labeled so you know before you buy exactly how it ships. There are two paths, and the listing’s badge tells you which one applies.

Ships direct to you

Antique firearms (pre-1899), edged weapons, militaria, and non-firearm collectibles ship straight to your door. No dealer, no transfer fee.

Ships to your FFL

Modern firearms (1899 or later) must be shipped to a licensed firearms dealer (FFL) near you, who handles the background check and transfer.

Antique & non-firearm items — ship direct

Under federal law, a firearm manufactured in or before 1898 (“pre-1899”) is an antique and is not regulated as a modern firearm. These ship directly to the buyer, as do swords, knives, badges, relics, powder flasks, and the rest of our collectibles.

See the Antique Firearm Policy for the full pre-1899 definition and the buyer’s responsibilities.

Modern firearms — FFL transfer required

Any listing badged “Modern · FFL transfer” is a modern firearm. By law we can only ship it to a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) — your local gun shop — who completes the background check and hands the firearm to you in person.

  1. Find your FFL

Choose a local dealer who accepts transfers. Most gun shops do, usually for a small fee ($20–$50). Ask them to email us a signed copy of their license.

  2. Place your order

Buy the firearm here as normal. At checkout you’ll enter your dealer’s name so we can match the shipment to their license.

  3. We ship to the dealer

We send the firearm directly to your FFL once we have their license on file — never to a residence.

  4. Complete the transfer

You visit the dealer, fill out ATF Form 4473, pass the background check, and take your firearm home. The dealer’s transfer fee is paid to them, not to us.

Good to know

If a transfer is denied or you change your mind, we’ll work with you on a return per our Returns & Guarantee policy. Transfer fees charged by your dealer are non-refundable by us.

State & local restrictions

Firearm and weapon laws vary widely by state, county, and city. You are responsible for knowing and complying with the laws where you live. Some items cannot be shipped to certain states.

Buyer responsibility

By completing checkout you certify that you may legally receive the item in your jurisdiction. If a sale is prohibited where you are, we will cancel and refund the order. When in doubt, call (870) 665-1915
