Deason’s Antique Weapons & Collectibles is a father-and-son operation — James Deason and his son Samuel — built on four decades of collecting Civil War, Indian War, and frontier-era arms and militaria out of El Dorado, Arkansas.
What started as James’s own collection grew, piece by piece, into a business built on the same principle every serious collector cares about: buy honestly, describe honestly, and never sell something you wouldn’t want to own yourself. Samuel joined the business bringing that same eye for authenticity to a new generation of the trade.
How we work
Every piece that comes through the shop is handled personally — inspected, researched, and described in plain language, with condition and provenance noted honestly rather than oversold. If a piece is a reproduction, or if its history is uncertain, we say so.
We’re just as serious about the antique-vs-modern distinction as we are about the history itself. Pre-1899 antiques ship directly to you; modern firearms transfer through your local FFL dealer, no exceptions. See our Antique Firearm Policy and Shipping & FFL Transfers pages for the details.
Buy, sell, trade
We’re always looking to add to the collection. If you have a piece you’re looking to sell or trade — a family heirloom, an estate find, or something you’ve simply outgrown — we’d like to hear about it. Reach out through our contact page or call us directly.
